2023/2024 Baseball Academy Program

The Hit Dawg Academy's philosophy is based on player development. THIS IS A DEVELOPMENTAL OPPORTUNITY. We focus strongly on fundamentals and the necessary mechanics needed to be successful in baseball. Anybody and everybody that wants to work hard on their baseball skills, and improve as a player is invited to join our program. Our staff is dedicated to getting you prepared to play at the next level. This opportunity is for players ages 7 years old to 18 years of age.
The program will go from 10/1/23 through 3/14/24. There will be a total of 6 payments due for the 2023/2024 season- October (Paid when you initially register), November, December, January, February, and March (will be pro-rated based on the half month.) The monthly payments will run on the 1st of each month.
All First Year Academy Members (New Members) will pay a $125 Administrative/Registration Fee. First year players will receive a Hit Dawg apparel package. Ordering instructions will be sent to new players shortly after the season begins. Any Player who signs up after 10/1 will have the opportunity to order when we place our second and final order of the year after January 1st. An email will be sent out after January 1st with ordering instructions.
Returning Players: Please EMAIL hitdawgacademy@hotmail.com to register for the program, so the $125 fee is not charged to your account.

Free Monthly Lessons October through December:
If you are Registered as an Academy Member, you will be able to sign up for your Free Monthly Lesson for October, November, and December by choosing Academy Member Lessons, then One Free 2 Player Hitting Lesson. Free lessons can be booked between 10/1/23 and 12/31/23.

Academy Program Options for 2023/2024:
Minors Program
This is for kids ages 7-9U. Our goal is to keep the kids moving in more of a circuit type of training model. We will focus on movement skills, throwing, defense and hitting. Our goal for this age group is to get them all the fundamental skills to help them grow. These practices will be 90 minutes in length and you can choose from the 2 options below
Option 1- 1 day/practice each week choosing from Wednesday or Sunday. $200/Month
Option 2- 2 days/practices each week Wednesday & Sunday. $275/Month
Schedule:
Wednesday- 5:00-6:30 pm
Sunday- 11:00am- 12:30 pm
Majors Program
This is for kids ages 10-12U. Our goal for this group is to get them more defined in game strategies and positions. We will have options to pitch, catch, hit and defense. These practices will be 2 hours in length for Defense/Hitting and 1 hour for Pitching.
Option 3- 2 days/practices each week. Hitting/Defense practices on Tuesday & Sunday. $325/Month
Option 4- 3 days/practices each week: 1 Pitching practice choosing from Wednesday or Saturday AND 2 Hitting/Defense practices on Tuesday & Sunday. $425/Month
Option 5- 4 days/practices each week: 2 Pitching practices on Saturday & Wednesday, AND 2 Hitting/Defense practices on Tuesday & Sunday. $450/Month
Option 6- 2 days/practices each week: 1 Pitching practice choosing from Wednesday or Saturday AND 1 Hitting/Defense practice choosing from Tuesday or Sunday. $300/Month
Schedule:
Tuesday- Hitting/Defense practice 5:00-7:00 pm
Wednesday- Pitching practice 4:00-5:00 pm OR 5:00-6:00 pm
Saturday- Pitching practice 2:00-3:00 pm OR 3:00-4:00 pm
Sunday- Hitting/Defense practice 12:30-2:30 pm
High School Program
This is for kids ages 13-18U. Our goal is to provide metric based training for this group. We will be using video, blast motion and the GEARS program in their practices to help them understand the goals that we will set up for them. These practices will be 2 hours in length for Defense/Hitting and 1 hour for Pitching.
Option 3- 2 days/practices each week: Hitting/Defense practice on Thursday & Sunday. $325/Month
Option 4- 3 days/practices each week: 1 Pitching practice choosing from Wednesday or Saturday for AND 2 Hitting/Defense practices on Thursday & Sunday. $425/Month
Option 5- 4 days/practices each week: 2 Pitching practices on Wednesday & Saturday AND 2 Hitting/Defense practices on Thursday & Sunday. $450/Month
Option 6- 2 days/practices each week: 1 Pitching practice choosing from Wednesday or Saturday AND 1 Hitting/Defense practice choosing from Thursday or Sunday. $300/Month
Option 7- 3 days/practices each week: 2 Pitching practices on Wednesday & Saturday AND 1 Hitting/Defense practice choosing from Thursday or Sunday. $400/Month
Schedule:
Wednesday- Pitching practice 6:00-7:00 pm
Thursday- Hitting/Defense practice 5:00-7:00 pm
*Focus will be on Hitting & Strength until we need to throw more in January to prep for the season.
Saturday- Pitching practice 4:00-5:00 pm
Sunday- Infielders/Outfielders/Catchers Hitting/Defense practice 2:30-4:30 pm

We will be adjusting our Academy Practice format and schedule over winter break for December 26th through December 28th. We know many families travel and have other fun plans over the winter break. Practices will be set up as an open gym setting from 4-8 PM each day, so that players can come in whenever works best for them for Baseball and Softball Academy. Our Hit Dawg coaches will be running the Open Gym sessions. Open gym times will be sent out to players. We would like to invite parents to come in with their player(s) if you would like, so you can ask any questions you have about our practices/program, and get a better understanding of what we do.
You do not need to sign up to attend any of the Open Gym practices. You may attend as many Open Gym practices as you would like over 12/26-12/28.|
*Reminder: Hit Dawg will be CLOSED 12/23 through 12/25 & CLOSED 12/30 through 1/1. Our Regular Practice schedule will resume on 1/2/23.
**Academy Players have the option to come in for Open Gym during our regular business hours and use the turfed space/cages for $5/session. Open Gym privileges for Academy Members go from 10/1/23 through 8/31/24.
**This is a 5 1/2 month program and commitment. New/First Year Players may sign up for the program until January 1, 2024. After this date, we will not accept new sign ups for the 2023/2024 Season. For any NEW player who does not sign up by 10/1/23 for the 2023/2024 season, the monthly price will increase each month the player waits to sign up. You may not take months "off" from the program. The only reason we will allow players to take a month off from paying for the program is if they suffer a baseball injury. We will then issue an account credit. Credits are not retroactive. If you are hurt in another sport/activity (not related to baseball) during our season or miss months for any other reason, you will still be required to pay for that time you miss.
