Max Muncy

2017, I went back and looked at what he looked like in HS, College and the lower minor leagues. It's important to find some of the good roots to fall back on when deciding to make swing changes. It was tedious work, but well worth it.

Once I went back and saw some of his old videos, I realized that he wasn't above the ball like he used to be with his posture. I brought him in and we talked about how he got to this point in 2017 with his current swing. We talked about how his posture and staying behind the ball were supposed to work. We also talked about how this would help him get the ball to spin the right way for pull side elevation.

He was still going through his process of getting more behind the ball and creating better launch. As this was happening, I just monitored his barrel load/sequence to keep him in rhythm with the pitcher

At times, his flip gets bigger, which gets his weight over his toes to much. I just monitored it and watched him rake
